Bemye w riz recipe – Okra stew is a favorite from the Lebanese recipes. This stew marries the distinct flavor of okra with a tomato paste sauce & tender of rice, this Bamia recipe is a classic Arabic dish from Lebanon made with okra and tomatoes #claudetteskitchen

Ingredients:

– 1 cup vegetable oil

– 2 onions cut into small squares

– 8 tomatoes

– 8 garlic cloves

– 1 bunch of coriander

– 600 gr. frozen Bamia, or okra

– 1.25 liter of water

– 5 Lemons juice

– 2 teaspoons of salt

– Half teaspoon of tomato paste Rice:

– 1.5 cup of American rice

– 1 cup vermicelli

– 3.5 cups water

– 1 teaspoon of salt
